While many companies/organisations are pulling away from Microsoft Excel for Bookkeeping, some hold onto the application for Reporting i.e. budgeting, forecasting, etc. However, most companies recognise that relying on Excel spreadsheets alone to keep track of their financial position is not practical in the long term. Spreadsheets can be seen as time consuming. However, as a very small company with a turnover of £50,000, this could be seen as a simple way to book-keep and take care of their financial records.
